The Emirates ID is linked to your visa. You must first have a valid residence visa before you can apply for your UAE identity card.
The application is made via the ICP app (Federal Authority for Identity & Citizenship) or via your sponsor/PRO. You fill out a form with your personal information.
A mandatory medical examination including a blood test and chest X-ray (lung scan). It is done at a government-approved health center. Results are sent directly to the authorities.
Visit an approved typing center for fingerprinting, photo, and digital signature. Allow 15-30 minutes.
Your Emirates ID is delivered by Emirates Post to your address or available for pickup at an Emirates Post center. You receive an SMS confirmation.
